Saint Thomas of Villanova Day

From:
David McNichol
Director of Human Resources

On Thursday, September 8, 2005, the University has adjusted the day's academic class schedule for the celebration of St. Thomas of Villanova Day; additionally, offices will be closed at 1:00 p.m. on that same day.  These changes have been made in order to encourage faculty, staff and students to join in the celebration of this special day.

For those offices/departments which are closed, the following text, or something similar, should be used as a standard telephone voice message for the afternoon period:

"Today is Thursday, September 8th, St. Thomas of Villanova Day at the University. Offices closed at 1:00 p.m. so that students, faculty and staff may participate in our celebration. Please leave a message and we will return your call. For emergencies, call 610-519-6979."

Those departments, which still need to require employees to remain on duty, should inform James Kane, Associate Director of Human Resources (ext. 94238 or e-mail "james.kane@villanova.edu") regarding their plans.
